BUD'S GIVES BACK
The 26th Mayflower Marathon was a huge success, raising enough food to feed over 730,000 meals to families in need in Hampton Roads. We couldn't have done it without the support of our customers who so generously donated. Bud's is proud to sponsor such an amazing cause as well as include our own donation of turkeys, canned goods and other nonperishable items. And we're even more excited to announce that we'll be sponsoring again next year and we're hoping to feed even more!
Bud's partnered with Kimberly Graham, a local real estate agent with Keller Williams, to help collect food for the children going back to school that might face food insecurity. With the help of our employees and a customer or two, we were able to fill two boxes with goodies for the kiddos. We look forward to helping again during our Mayflower Marathon Thanksgiving food drive coming up in a few months.
Bud's was super proud to partner with the West Strong Foundation for the 3rd annual Croaker fishing tournament. The weather was beautiful and the fish were biting! We had two boats on the water with eight fishermen but didn't manage to scoop up any of the prizes. Our Bud's family had a blast and we are proud to report that we raised over $13,000 to help families struggling with cancer diagnoses and treatment for their children! March is Red Cross month and Bud's was proud to partner with Bob FM and the local Red Cross chapter to sponsor a blood drive held in Ghent in Norfolk at the Ohef Shalom Temple on Friday, March 18th. We had a great showing with over 20 donations of blood, a huge benefit for the Red Cross. Just one donation can save up to three lives! A huge thank you to Holly Williams of Bob FM and Jenny from the Red Cross for putting together such an amazing event and allowing us to make a difference.
